History of the Company’s Founding
Gyumri Fish was founded in 1999 in the Cherkezi Dzor area of Gyumri. In its early stages, the company focused on the production and sale of fish fry, and over the years, it has become one of Armenia’s leading companies in fish farming and fish product processing.
Company’s Present
Today, our company ensures a full production cycle, from obtaining fertilized fish eggs to growing and processing the final product, producing over 1,000 tons of trout annually.
In addition to its production operations, the company group also includes the Cherkezi Dzor fish-focused restaurant in Gyumri, offering a premium culinary experience based on our own products.
The company’s production capacities are distributed across the Republic as follows:
- GYUMRI, SHIRAK REGION – The pure, cold spring water makes Gyumri one of the best locations for fish farming. The hatchery produces 3 million fish fry annually. This is also where the well-known Cherkezi Dzor fish restaurant is located.
- MASIS, ARARAT REGION – The warm climatic conditions contribute to the faster growth of trout (up to 2 kg and more). This is also where our fish processing plant is located.
- ARAKS, ARARAT REGION – Harsh winters and hot summers create ideal conditions for sturgeon farming. Here, we produce 200 tons or more of sturgeon annually for both local and export markets.
